Shascades Work Connection




Providing employment opportunities to those who are referred by the Department of Rehabilitation and Far Northern Regional Center. This program allows individuals to obtain the skills necessary to perform in the labor market. A variety of opportunities are available:

INDIVIDUAL PLACEMENT

Landscaping Crew



Our individual placements program provides trained individuals ready to fill the open position with your company. They are supervised by qualified staff members throughout the entire work day.

Benefits of vocational training:

 - Acquire the skills necessary for a full time job in todays work force
 - Have extra spending to buy things that you want
 - Rely less on your Social Security supplements each month
 - Make new friends and be part of a team

HOW TO BEGIN SERVICES

Shascade's Thrift Store

 - You are interested in working
 - Attend an orientation on supported employment
 - Your service coordinator makes a referral to the Department of Rehabilitation
 - Department of Rehabilitation will send you Shascade's Work Connection information
 - An employment team meeting is scheduled to talk about services
 - Attend an intake meeting at Shascade's Work Connection for you to enter our programs
 - You begin work!
