VISION RESOURCE CENTER
(VRC serves persons in Northern California)
VRC is a program serving visually impaired persons to help themselves discover greater independence. Learning how to perform old familiar activities in new ways is a goal of VRC. VRC offers in-home daily living skills, counseling support, adaptive aids and mobility training.
EDUCATION
Understanding your eye condition is essential in knowing how your vision may change in the future.
Learning how to compensate for visual impairment is a key to rediscovering independence.
Adaptive devices and training are the means of obtaining self-sufficiency.
These services are available to you on a donation basis.
COUNSELING
Learning to accept vision loss can involve emotional and physical changes which are not often second nature.
Training is required in learning to adapt to new techniques and ways of doing everyday things.
Doing old familiar things in new ways takes practice. We wish to assist you in making the changes as easily as possible.
Services are available to each person individually according to need.
